Thomas Amnéus (1907 - 2004) var son till Nils August Amnéus (1879 - 1952). Tom var med sina tre bröder William, Daniel och John författare och redaktör för släktboken som utkom 1995. Bröderna bodde vid denna tid i västra USA.

Med sin okuvliga energi översatte Tom tidigare svenska versioner av släktboken till engelska. Han samlade material, kontaktade undertecknad och bad om uppgifter om släktingar.

Han fick mig att bli intresserad av min släkt och framför allt av tidigare generationer. Jag har i min databas tusentals namn och andra uppgifter på vår stora släkt.

Tom engagerade sig politiskt, var emot atombomben och USA:s krig i f d Jugoslavien. Som vegetarian tog han också ställning för djurens rätt. De sista åren av sitt liv ägnade han mycket tid åt sina hundar.

Vi saknar honom.

Thomas Amnéus (1907 - 2004) was the oldest son of Nils August Amnéus (1879 - 1952). Tom and his three brothers William, Daniel och John were writers and editors of Amnéus Family 1650 - 1995. At this time they all lived in Western USA.

With his unconquerable energy Tom translated earlier versions of the family book into English. He collected material, contacted me, Christer Amnéus, and asked for information about relations.

He got me to be interested in my family and above all earlier generations. In my database I have gathered thousands of names and other facts about our large family.

Tom was committed to politics, was against the atomic bomb and the US-war in former Yugoslavia. As a vegetarian he took sides for the animals and their rights. During the last years of his life he spent a lot of time with his dogs.

We miss him.
